I'm not 100% sure if the host are running at full capacity again, but the site is back online. however a lot of the files had been corrupted and I've had to re-write a lot of the script.

I was lucky enough to have the forsight to back up most of it , but appologies to anyone whos post are missing.

I lost a few posts and went from 2 stars (27 posts) to one star (19 posts) :eek:

There are a few replies missing on the Karting thread, but it's back on with the correct names and details..

yeh, sorry about the missing posts/replies etc.

I'm hoping now that things are going to run smoothly , but I've not yet had a confirmation email from the hosts to say that they're running at 100% again.

I'll try to backup everything in the forums every evening so that if anything should go wrong ,at least I'll be able to upload the back up files.

Phil, the bandwidth issue is back.

strange :confused: as I've just got in & its working fine.

The message we had before was something about " the site will be back in 24hrs" but 5 hours later its back..wierd.

I know that the hosts are still upgrading and I did send them a mail about the bandwidth issue,

reminds me.. time to back up the files :)

I don't think my inability to post is down to them. It seems to be the same problem I have with Photobucket while at work. I can view the threads, but when I try to submit anything the progress bar is very slow and eventually times out. Seems OK at home.

BTW, the Lord of the Rings thread by Al was meant for me, but as I can't post it's a bit dead in the water. Wouldn't mind seeing some of your fantasy films though ;)

When you log on to the forums, uncheck the 'Save Password' tick before pressing the 'Login' button.

What's maybe happening is that it's not recognising that you've come from mthe WYIOC front page and when you login, it does tell you that it was succesfull, but when you are taken back to the main forum page, you're logged out and hence can't post.

Try the above. It works for me as I had the same problem.

BTW. It has nothing to do with Cookies saved or firewalls as I have tried in all settings...

can you all update your bookmarks for the forum please.

I know it's a while away, but the uptake on the Rallydrive (http://aa.1asphost.com/MadGrip/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=41) day has been a little slow. After the fun we all had last time I'm a little surprised. Come on those who are interested. I'd like to get the deposit paid to confirm the booking soon.

I cant really tell you until nearer the time mate, if its booked when i find out ill just come n spectate though.

CB, working on the assumption that I'm gonna have a trackday scoob by then, I'd like to book 3 places, including myself, as I'm planning on taking a couple of mates. Would this be possible? Obviously we'll pay three fees. Just that we'd all be using the same motor, assuming it lasts the day :(

Price is per car Andy. Just use a little discretion so that you don't get accused of hogging the track, which I'm sure you won't as there was more than enough capacity last time.

Doesn't sound entirely fair mate, thanks and all, but I would rather each of the drivers pay for the day. It's not exactly a bank breaking amount of money, and if three of the 25 (or whatever) are using the one car then it's gonna free up more tack time for the others.

Sure you can have a play, swap your keys for mine and away we both go. See who's breaks first... ;)

I accept the $ involved is paltry really, but it worked fine last time. Simon is bringing Dan, I'll have CG with me, and I don't know if anyone else plans to bring partners/friends. Maybe some of the new committee can discuss it at the karting. How about the 20-something for the car plus 5 per additional driver? The extra driver and spectator monies could go into the club kitty to keep the maths simple.

I'll accept whatever you decide is fair, just not wanting to come across as a freeloader.
