Default How much can I ask for my wheels?

I have a set of 17" wheels off an RB5.

The tyres are in reasonable nick but the wheels Really need a refurb.

They have lots of scuffs and curbing and they are looking quite sorry for themselves.

On the other hand they are fantastic wheels and when refurbed will be stunning.

So how much should I ask if I put these up for sale?

PS this aint a "for sale thread" as the output of this will let me put them in the for sale section properly

ask what you want but you wont get much , as depending on the make of the tyre,
if they are a bad make peeps will be put off as its 4 new tyres and £200 or more for refurb so it would be easier to buy new or good condition

I'm looking for a set of wheels much as you describe For the right price, I'd have them... assuming I can get this past the wife-radar.

I bought some 17" OZ superTs in 2002 for £250 without tyres (but this did include some straightening work)

I sold a set of speedline 17"s of similar design to the RB5 wheels for £200 at the start of last year, as they didn't work with my new brakes. They didn't have usable tyres on them, but were in reasonable order.

What tyres are they, and how much tread? I could do with touching up some areas on the SuperTs, and I need some new tyres for them.

I'd hazard a guess, of £200, possibly a bit more if there is meaningful life in the tyres. I will keep an eye on the for sale forum now

They are in the for sale section now.
The tyres are Nankang and have 3-4mm on them.

I am going to swap these for my new wheels tommorrow and will try and get photos etc done so people can see what they are like.

Any further questions then email me or post in the thread in the parts for sale section.
