The brakes on my Sti3 V Ltd are pants. They stop the vehicle but not in a way that instills a great deal of confidence compared to the rate the car propels you to the speed from which you want to slow down.i.e stop ( sorry i got a little carried away ). As far as i am aware the pads are not too worn but are standard. Can anybody recommend a good set of pads without spending silly money on calipers and disks etc.

Try EBC greens I've got them on my STIv2 with black diamond discs and they work very well .

EBC Greens are great they produce a lot less dust too.
