Default Ford Focus RS 2.0 - Numbers for sale

This is not meant as an RS bashing thread.

Anyway 20k list right? Have you seen the number for sale on Autotrader website. The majority are in the 20-23k bracket, even 52 plated. There are a few at 19k.

How come the laws of supply\demand are not affecting the prices. Is this a case of a cartel in operation?

Just interested as I would n't mind one for the missus

As its no longer in production supply is limited and I imagine that there is still a Demand for them. Also they probably have a couple thou of extras on them too. But agree that they are strong money!

When my Scoob was only a year or so old, it was strong money too............you had to wait 6 months to get one, there weren't hardly any over here etc etc.

Now the Japs have dumped all their old ones on us, usually for more money than they paid new:

And look at residuals now...................

Did people buy them to speculate because a short time ago there was 4 of them within 35 miles of me with 3 of them with 200 miles or less on them, why would someone buy it then offload so quick?

I know of someone who went to trade in their focus RS for a golf R32 - the dealer said they wouldn't take it off him because the values were dropping so much!

Agree with you Max. But why sell it for 17500 when you know you could get nearer 20k for it?
