So here's what happened. I'm driving through town nice and easy. The car some distance ahead has just driven past a parked lorry on the opposite side of the road and the cars waiting behind the lorry start to pull out. The first goes, no problem. The second, yes okay. I'm now not too far from the lorry and the third car pulls out. I think "Oi Rover. No! It's my right of way." But he continues and to avoid clashing wing mirrors, I move to the nearside and consequently clip the kerb. S***! So now I have a small scrape (about 3cm) on the rim of my brand new alloys. In the grand scheme of life, not very significant but blinking annoying all the same!
Anyway, the questions is, can anything be done to repair such damage? Answers please on a postcard......
Thanks.

S'funny that, the same thing just happened to my wife but she's done a proper job on the alloy (1/2 of the circumference) and taken a thumb sized chunk out of the tyre sidewall. (lorry of course escaped)

Obviously this is a bit big to touch up, prior to this I had been mixing a couple of spray paints to match my RB5 alloys. I am now thinking of buying two spare wheels and getting them repaired in rotation. The Pirelli P2000 tyres give no rim protection whatsoever so I will be moving on to something else shortly.

The moral of this story is "dont worry its not only you its happening to!!

Best Regards
Greg

Greg,

The Falken GRB tyres have great side protection for your alloys.
