Default Double Din radio Removal

Hello, a couple of weeks ago i got a sechs data monitor. I am going to "try" and get the double din radio out. I have the Scooby manual, and it says that the plastic around the radio can be just be "popped oFF". I was hoping if somebody has done this before could give me some tips i.e have you got a special tool...or do i go the prise it like hell.
Many thanks

Peter

Its a case of being rough, but not too rough. lol. I opened the cup holder and just firmly pulled at the top, then worked my way round pulling it. Theres a moderator on here called "chiark" and his website is top notch for this sort of thing. Good luck

peter, take the top left corner out first, then bottom left, then bottom right then top right.

When u put it back together, remember to put the cupo holder back in before closing the radio surround as it has a little nodule that wont go in otherwise

also when you route the cable down to the data port, you can prise open the piece underneath and to the left of the steering column to make it easier with routing. Just use some cable ties to attach it to some other cables.
