Nothing too dramatic - but the guy would have had just a few bruises if he had have had his leathers on ;)
Don't forget - even if your just off to the post office or local shop.... it could be you next...

He was very, very, very lucky -- it could have been a LOT worse considering he stepped off at fairly high speed, and didn't break anything or get hit.
Performance Bikes in the UK did an insert with a "show us yer scars" section a few years back which was one of the nastiest things I've EVER seen ... people going right through skin AND muscle leaving limbs permanently disabled, etc ...

Totally agree with the article. I was told by the paramedic at my recent accident that my leathers saved my life. Never go out without them... unless I'm driving the scoob ;-)

I always remember seeing an accident in Cyprus when i served there (93ish) and i saw a cypriot guy had come off his bike, he was wearing short cut off jeans and a sleeveless t shirt, he had come off the road, gone across some grassed/sandy area and ended up 10ft into an area of limestone type rocks (about the size of an orange), he looked like he was in a little pain, the ambulance was there but i would have hated to see what his back looked like
