Fitted noise killer kit to car to reduce noise so I can hear the car phone! It has reduced it a lot, but now realise that my Panasonic GD-87 full car kit is cr*p!
Callers say it sounds really tinny and weak, I can't hear them too well through the small speaker.

So what works?
I have various options.

1/. I have a Nokia 6600 Bluetooth, do bluetooth car kits work well?

2/. Wire whichever car kit into the car speakers using an Autoleads adapter with radio mute built in. Do they work well? Anyone using one?

3/. Use one of these headrest mounted kits, which fit a battery powered speaker and boom mic to the headrest posts. Any good?

4/. Any other solutions that people know work??? No, I don't mean don't answer the phone. :-))

5/. I have a Nokia Bluetooth headset, but when it is switched on the phone doesn't ring only the headset, and I can't keep it on for hours.

I had the full handsfree kit fitted for my Sharp GX20 by Vodafone, the make of kit they use is by a company called Bury. It works fine but if I'm on the motorway or am putting my foot down at all it can be pretty hard to hear people through the supplied speaker. I'm considering getting the adaptor that puts the call through the front speakers also to try and get round this so also interested in anyone that might be using this? If you do that do you know if you can then adjust the volume of the call via the stereo?

The adapter switches the stereo to mute and uses the car kit to power the speakers not the stereo, so your phone volume controls it.

Our phone dealer has it fitted in his car and says it is good quality and very loud.

Anyone using a bluetooth car kit? Are they any good?

I've got a Sony Erricson bluetooth car kit. Very neat and discrete. No wires, no drilling, sound quality good and lights up nice too. (My phone is a Nokia 6310i by the way). Cost around £200 for the kit+install, including radio mute business.

Really didn't fancy the whole cradle crap - had this in previous cars - looks dated now and gets in the way of passenger legs/cup holder/etc/etc.

Got mine through the speakers and sound quality is excellent. Didnt go bluetooth as I dont like any of the Nokia phones that are equipped with it so had a cradle installed, cost around £200 all in, so no cheaper than a wire free blue tooth set up but I did get the phone I like.

got motorola bluetooth. separate speaker mounted in passenger footwell mic by sunviser. mutes radio. well pleased very clear. using with v600.
