Which is best for second hand scoobies. theres a good one in derby mate. jamo :D Shropshire-Guy 19 March 2004, 05:27 If you want main dealer. Go to Oaken garage, nr Wolverhampton. See other posts on here from different Scoobynet members who have used them. Carn,t fault them. scooby_si 19 March 2004, 18:47 All the usual garages such as Dave @ APi engines, Roger clarkes etc etc will have top quality motors & presuming you are just looking from a buying point of view then you do have plenty of choice & i wouldn't limit yer distance too much when looking for what is going to be an expensive car to run, ie it's worth going a few miles if it means you get a suitable minter ;) What kinda car you looking for such as Jap, UK, age, warrenty etc etc? As that will help narrow the search down.... Si Ray_li 19 March 2004, 23:05 I think I might take a trip to Wolverhampton or Worcester tomorrow. I remember reading Lister subaru in Worcester is a good place. Or I might just phone them. Looking to buy a Standard Uk Turbo MY99-00 most likely MY00 Blue, FSSH, Air con and low mileage. Would like to keep it under 10k still need to buy insurance. Ray greg.g 20 March 2004, 16:19 You can check out what each dealer has in stock here (http://www.subaru.co.uk/index2.htm) I bought mine from holdcrofts about 18 months ago and found them ok. SiDHEaD 20 March 2004, 16:35 Are you looking for finance? You'd be better buying a MY00 (Y reg still in warranty, or one in extended) from a non-subaru dealer. Subaru load 2k onto the price, you'll never get a lowish mileage MY00 for 10k from subaru! If you DO want one from Subaru - don't forget the entire dealerstock is on www.subaru.co.uk and goto proven used cars. Andy Edit: just noticed greg gave that link too hehe soakden 20 March 2004, 16:36 Looking for dearships around west midlands. Which is best for second hand scoobies. go look at the scoobyclinic mate u wont regret it www.scoobyclinic.com give em a bell u never know Ray_li 21 March 2004, 03:46 SiDHEaD When you say Non-subaru dealer do you mean private? having llooked at the subaru website it looks like im buying private greg.g 21 March 2004, 17:21 Ray As Soakden has said, check out scoobyclinic. They are based near chesterfield, so its only just over an hour away from brum. They are an independant subaru specalist who really know their stuff:). They have had loads of good reports on here and they also sell used scoobies. They are a far better choice for a 10k scooby than a franchised dealer would be IMHO:D Good luck with the hunting. SiDHEaD 21 March 2004, 18:23 No i mean a car dealer - but not a subaru agent. Andy Ray_li 21 March 2004, 23:27 Are car dealers ok? I tend to think of dealers as dodgy ripoff places. Ray_li 21 March 2004, 23:28 Need t give scoobyclinic a call monday they dont have any scoobies for sale on their website. SiDHEaD 22 March 2004, 00:35 Depends if you're getting "Sold as seen" or not. SaS will probably be dodgy :) Andy NM 23 March 2004, 14:39 At the end of the day give one of the Cov guys a shout and I am sure one of us can make ourselves available to help you check out a motor. Best to view and test drive one first and once happy yourself post on here to see if someone will help you to check one over before you buy. But remember at the end of the day its your choice ! Cheers Neal :D scooby_si 23 March 2004, 18:22 if you wana crash test i'm available ;) but seriously as Neal says says the word..... Si Ray_li 23 March 2004, 22:32 Thanks guys will do :) then I'll be coming to the Cov meets |
