Do a search on google for R1 suspension settings or similar, there is plenty of reading. It's best to know how to do it too LordLuthor 14 March 2004, 11:31 I dont think you should take any advice on setting up your suspension, better to uderstand your adjustments, what effect they have and then customise your settings to your own taste. I have never liked any of the settings provided by PB, I am certain that they will produce fast bike responses and put in quick lap times, they are always very perfrmance focused and don't necessarily produce a good all rounder. Getting a base setting is easy, preload- set the bike so when you are sat on it the suspension is compressed 30% of it's travel with your feet up. Then set all adjustments to half way and ride it. Feel the bikes front for patter or "numb" feeling and feel the rear for squat or vibration then adjust the suspension softer or harder unti lyou like it. But you have to start with the springs set right or it will all be wrong. If the bike drifts wide, chances are the cmpression is too hard at the front or the rebound is to hard at the back... etc etc. Just go play!! thebothy 14 March 2004, 19:40 have bought a haynes manual and will set it back to standard and work from there..cheers for all advice:) |
