Anyone know what is happening with this show. Can't find any info on the web (probably looking in the wrong place). Would be nice to know what time it starts, prices etc. Someone must know.

MCN Motorcycle Show

Venue
Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh

Date
Saturday Sat 13 Mar 2004 - Sun 14 Mar 2004

Dear MCN Registered User

It's just one day to the 2004 MCN Scottish Motorcycle Show. This year looks set to be the biggest ever with a new purpose built exhibition hall playing host to hundreds of stands with fantastic bargains on the best biking kit. All the major manufacturers will be there with their 2004 machines on show.

This year will also see celebrity guests taking part in the show, these include GP stars Jeremy McWilliams and Shane 'Shakey' Byrne plus James Toseland, Leon Haslam and Niall Mckenzie. There's also a new free-to-watch live action arena where some of the UK's top bike racers will compete against each other in a 'Superstars of Biking' contest. Plus, there are stunt shows, extreme trials demos and you can even learn to ride a bike or, if you're more experienced, have a go at supermoto.
It's a fun day out for all the family!

Hope to see you there - all the details are below,

The MCN team.

Ian.

£13  I remember when this was £5/6 to get in, if your on the look out for some new gear you'll get your moneys worth but if like most people your just out for a mooch around total rip-off IMO pretty much typical of Ingliston these days

Cheers for all the info, would have jumped the fence myself but was there with g/friend and family. Was worth the money just to see the MCN,Bridgestone etc babes. Found some descent priced gear too into the bargain. :D

I think that overall it was not as good as in previous years. The live action was disappointing. I remember we used to get a european stunt riding championship round, and the very entertaining "Purple Helmets".
There were certainly a few good bargains to be had though.
I took quite a few photos but no pictures of the bikes....I couldn't resist clicking away when the Bridgestone babes were posing for the camera in their figure hugging skin tight white lycra, or the MCN babes in their red lycra. Or those other ones in the black fishnets and the little black thong and very short miniskirt getting on and off the bikes and posing with anyone that asks them. Or that model agency lot that might just as well have been topless because what they were wearing definitely didn't leave much to the imagination.
Bikes....what bikes!

Defo A disappointment over previous years.
Had at one time considered it better than NEC show.
Had to look very hard for any of the latest bikes (They were all over the place hidden amongs the Clothing/Parts stalls).
Bike Parking about a mile away!!past the fleets of cars(Did see a few Scoobs)
Did manage to get an order in for the Scoob replacement though.

I thought it was ok, not as good as last year and it felt kinda weird not looking for bargains as i don't have a bike anymore, live show not too good, loved the R6+R1 (no surprise there), came away determined to sell the scoob and get another bike but after a good blast on the way home i'm not too sure anymore... Help i'm all confused again.

SNAP! with you Johnny.
Had just posted when I got the call "Car was sorted".
Picked it up and went for a wee run.
Can honestly say It'll be some bike that can make me :) Asmuch as My Scoob!(And I've had a few bikes. Including R6.

Steve.
