Much easier to sell on afterwards as well. make sure you tell us what its like...early reports indicate its the maddest and most flighty of the new litre bikes. Its my favourite of the lot anyway, wise choice! Gidney&Knowlesy 11 March 2004, 13:24 I had the 12 r in green & loved that original colour though the green now is muted, anyhow the blue almost matches the scooby on the 10r..... I had the blue zx6 r (636) & sold that before I had it up for sell... Jza 11 March 2004, 14:26 Be carefull out there buddy...watch that highside!!!! Jza AndyAmb 11 March 2004, 15:24 Guys, Had the pleasure of 100 road miles on our advance-import to-be-raced 10R earlier this week (trade plates of course!). Overall the bike has a really taut, sharp feel about it, more so than, say, a 03 GSX-R thou'. Without much of a shadow of doubt, the best motor I've every ridden (incl. several racers) - from 9k upwards, power is awesome - the whole thing is soooo effortless. Makes stuff like my 02 'blade seem almost sluggish. God only know it needs a damper for UK road conditions, though (shades of TL1000S's?). Xtreme good luck - I'd be very surprised if you are disappointed! Sheepsplitter 11 March 2004, 22:02 Yes, just had a call to say my black 10R arrives next Thursday and I can pick it up at the weekend. Yipee!!! Sheepsplitter 18 March 2004, 00:00 My bike is still not in. I was promised it would be available on 1st March. It's now 17th March and I don't even have a delivery date, the dealer hasn't even a promise of delivery. I am seriously thinking of pulling the plug on the whole deal and either sticking with my GSXR1000/going elsewhere/R1/CBR1K. They've had my money since 24th Feb. £9.5K is a lot of money for someone else to have for a month. What would you do? Danny B 18 March 2004, 08:44 I'd hang on for 2 more weeks, if you still do not have a delivery date by then that is when you should pull the plug and either buy it elsewhere or go for another bike altogether. You do sound like you have built your hopes up on getting the Kawasaki would you really want to go for the Honda instead just for the sake of a few weeks? Gidney&Knowlesy 18 March 2004, 09:15 My dealer has already got 1 out on the road; allegedly all dealers took delivery of 1 bike about 6 days ago; further orders will be into dealerships within the next5/6 days. My dealer will have 7 in at this time for those of us that ordered about 8 months ago...& the remaining orders will be filled as a when. Though my dealer has been superb, ringing me & confirming all dates & keeping me informed & has only taken a holding deposit not the full amount..... Got most disappointed to see the first ZX10R on the road....& it wasn't me on it...if only I had opted for green..... Sheepsplitter 18 March 2004, 11:29 Yeeee Hahhhhh. My bike just came in. I pick it up Saturday at high noon. Lovely jubbly. Gidney&Knowlesy 18 March 2004, 12:46 SS you get the single seat option too? flat4 18 March 2004, 13:37 shame the weather's crap though  |
