My mates had his twin din stereo nicked out of his my01 impreza , thieving gets cut the loom as well. Is it possible to get hold of the connectors? Does anyone have some spare? Its the 16 pin one with about 14 wires coming out of it.

you could try Grade A Subaru breakers at Hayfield, Derbyshire and a few others but most breakers are loathe to cut looms unless it's damaged in other ways

I have a feeling that dealers wouldn't be able to / want to get hold of the parts to supply them new as it's probably not a recognised "spare" or consumable

Most people that change / upgrade the stereo put in an Autoleads convertor to make things fit - if he's putting a non-standard h/u in, how about chopping off the car end connector and splicing the new end straight on? Obviously, you'd need to connect together the correct wires...
