I have just bought a set of Lamco gauges for my MY00 but they have come without the sensors, any suggestions to where I can get them without paying dealer prices for new ones?

Would any other gauge sensors do as I already have autometer gauges?

Cheers

You could try Le Mans Motorsport (http://www.lemansmotorsport.co.uk/motorsport/Products/Motorsport_Gauges/motorsport_gauges.html) as they sell various senders. Are the Lamco's electrical or mechanical gauges.

It depends on whether they are mechanical or electrical. If they are lecky ones, then you'd need to check the type of connection between gauge and sender. My SPA electrical gauges use their own type of connector and senders.

Ozzy,

They are electrical gauges, as I said I already have autometer electrical gauges with the senders and was wondering if these should work with the Lamco ones?

Sorry, not sure.

There's an electrical connection issue for starters. You would need to check the pinouts on your Autometer senders and if this matches the Lamco's. You usually have 12v power, ground as well as some signal wires for the senders.

Even if you could physically wire them up, they signal may be some unique protocol for the gauge. Either that or it's just a voltage range which is converted to a numerical value by the gauge.

Note sue who would know other than Autometer themselves.
