The lens has smashed on one of our spotlights on our RB5. We have been told we can source it from the Subaru garage but they want a whopping £68 plus VAT. Got any ideas on anywhere we might be able to find it other than the Subaru garage?

Are they OE Scoob, 'cos if so, they are fog lights.
You might be lucky if you advertise on here for one, second hand, off a car where the owner has upgraded to driving lights.
The lights ARE handed though, so you'll need to say driver's or passenger side.

If it's an RB5, then it should be fitted with some PIAA spots. Retail price is around £50+VAT from any PIAA dealer. I've just bought two brand new replacements from David Reid Motorsport (http://www.drmotorsport.co.uk). Cost £50 inc. VAT + delivery each.

I do have a spare one, but it's slightly rusted along the bottom edge of the lense (common problem with PIAA's). If you want one cheap, let me know.

Oh, and invest in some OE Subaru Fog covers. They're not design for the PIAA spots, but can be rotated 180 degrees and secured with some X-rubber bands.

If it's a PIAA driving lamp (check on the lense) then try Roger Clark Motorsport on 01455 828610. Got my replacement from Olly for £43.50 +VAT. Superb service and they had it in stock.
