I'm planning to use Don Palmer's course later this month to brush up (Dyson up may be more appropriate) my driving skills.

The main appeal of his course is that power sliding looks fun and for whatever reason, the Toyos that I've had fitted are more prone to sliding than the GSD3s that I had on before - so this looks like a good opportunity to learn some new skills and have some fun.

It's also conveniently located near to TSL so I that gives me an excuse to have the drop links fitted and another geometry session. Has anyone here attended one of his training days and what did they get out of it?

For that matter, what other driving courses are out there and what do they offer?

Yes
Don is a very acomplished driver. He has helped me alot. I think you will get alot out of the training. As we know smoothness is the key to fast progress, and this is something he really focuses on.

i have been with don twice, wetter the better and creative car control, both were a top day out.

its a real shame that MIRA will not let him use the facilities anymore for wetter the better, it really was a fantastic course

how much are dons courses?

This may not be the correct forum for this question but on Don's email it suggests that a noise limit of of 87dB is lenient as this is taken at 20m from the vehicle which must be travelling at 60mph accelerating at maximum.

My Scoob 02 Wagon has a full decat system from Hayward and Scott who tell me that at 2m and 45 degrees from the exhaust at 4500rpm, their system measures 96dB.

Any ideas as to whether my car will pass or do I need to take my centre section cat with me. Failing that, does anyone know where I can get it measured in the Surrey area?
