Has anyone effectively lowered an STi V/VI by changing the springs and keeping the original dampers?

I believe that there are HKS springs at around £200, what are the other solutions?

What was good, what was bad about the change - handling, ride quality, suspension effectiveness, etc?

Any comments welcome.
