Had the Koni adjustbale dampers on the car for a while - with Eibach 30mm lowering springs. (MY96 UK car). Have never been really happy with them - until recently when I finally managed to bin the Yoko A520 tyres I had. Went for the Toyos and the ride etc is so much better. Night and day... I think the sidewall may be a bit more *pliant* than the Yokos... anyway...

I'm now alomost happy with the suspension - 3/8ths out on the front and 2/8ths on the rear (in '1/8's as the aduster wheel has 8 marker points around it's circumderence). Has anyone come up with what they consider the *perfect* setting with these?

Hi Dave, I have exactly the same set up as you, even down to the tyres. I fittd the Koni/Eibach stuff about 5 to 600 miles ago and am very happy with them. At the moment all settings are on 0, ie on softest setting. However, everything seems to hve bedded in now so will start to tweak it slightly, although I think the perfect set up depends on which roads you spend most time on. Living in rural Suffolk with good winding lanes but a lot of bad road surfaces, I am aiming for good wheel travel and compliance so as to not deflect the car over bumps, but firm enough to cut down on body roll. The set up is almost perfect for this role, but like you, i would be interested to hear others findings,

i am thinking about the Koni struts to go witht the eibach springs that i have got on just now. what size of pistons do they use ? anyideas ? i think the prodrive ones use arounf 50mm ( i think ) while the standard one uses around 25mm ( maybe just guessing by thier size )

Hi Sam, yes those bilstein pistons are huge. Off hand I dont think the Koni's are much diferent from standard. great bits of kit though, the quality of the damping is head and shoulders obove the OE stuff,
