MRT advise that you should never upgrade just one ARB - you should upgrade both front and rear together.

I'm thinking about fitting an uprated rear ARB to my UK MY99.
Anybody had good benefits from doing this ?

(I have std susp with bump-steer removal and ALK)

Cheers

Pete,

I've just had fitted larger front and rear ARB's and heavy duty rear mounts fitted, ALK and had the bump steer done.

I'm about to fit solid rear drop links.

In the dry the car is great http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif but tends to understeer a fair bit in the wet, apparently a characteristic of the mods as the front is now less forgiving.

Has anyone else had the same experience http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Yes...

Already had ALK, Bumpsteer, Drop links, Eibachs etc.

Uprated rear ARB only - Great http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Then uprated front too - Cr@p http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif - Understeered all over the place esp in the wet or twisties - only got benefit on high speed corners in the dry.

Took Front ARB off and went back to standard - much better http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Set rear to tightest setting - even better.

At the end of the day - this setup suits my driving style (bad http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif) and that's what counts

Rich.

Rich,

When you take the uprated front ARB off, do you need to have the geometry reset, or am I right in saying that it does'nt affect the geometry settings http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/confused.gif

It wouldn't affect the greometry settings.
