View Full Version : GGR Lowering Springs david 25 October 2000, 08:36 anyone used these with standard Sti V dampers?...as seen on SecretAgentMan 25 October 2000, 09:55 Had them on my MY00 GT, lot's of friends have 'em as well, works great actually. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif I went for LedaB in the end though... david 25 October 2000, 10:14 So, these are the lowering springs to go for for an STi V rather than Eibachs which are not correctly rated for an Sti? If anyone else uses them I'd be grateful for your comments. The reason I'm asking is that I currently have leda B but I think it is slightly too stiff for the roads around where I live (and I don't do track days), so I am thinking of swapping back to the original setup. The reason I ask about the lowering springs is that I don't think I can put up with the original ride height of the standard setup, the car looks so cool when it is lower than standard. problems problems ..... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Dave SecretAgentMan 25 October 2000, 10:52 The GGS022's feels much softer than the SS LedaB setup, mostly because they're progressive. They'll work....and they lower it just right, a tad more up front than in the rear. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif Leda B too hard? wtf? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif /J Yeeman19 01 November 2000, 09:05 The GGS022 is a Tein Soft spring...The soft might be too soft for the STi V dampers. The spring rates on the soft are almost half of the standard Ver. V spring. You might want to try the Tein Medium; the mediums' spring rates are a tad stiffer then the standard Ver.V...I believe the part #is GGS 277. I have the Tein Mediums on STi V dampers and the ride is excellent. Also, the ride height is lowered the same as soft, 30mm, which looks awsome.
