Which geo-settings - camber & toe - come together with the bumpsteer mod?
Is there one way to go or do you have to tell how you like the car?

DocJock posted his settings after the b-s mod: geometry on my printout reads;
Front-camber = -0~45' total toe = 0
Rear -camber = -1~14' total toe = 0

Somebody has other geo-settings after b-s mod and why?

Hi...

I left it to Powerstation to decide on the geometry settings when they did my anti-bump-steer mod... my print-out reads:

Front:
left camber: -1º12'
right camber: -1º03'
total toe: 0º00'

Rear:
left camber: -0º57'
right camber: -1º05'
total toe: +0º08

I think if you have specific settings in mind, you can request they set them, but I just left it to them and the above is what they did.

Shouldn't left and right camber settings be equal ?

Also if there is no toe in, doesn't the natural outward splay of the front wheels during heavy braking cause inaccurate steering and understeer when braking into a corner ?

That is the whole point of the bump steer mod., the front wheels don't splay outwards under braking.

As Ian said, it is Bump-Steer that causes the splaying out. Bump-steer removal gets rid of this, allowing you to set the front toe up exactly how you want it, not having to allow for the bump-steer (splaying out) effect.

Re difference....
The difference is so small that it would take a staggeringly good driver on PERFECT tyres and a PERFECTLY smooth and level surface to be able to tell the difference.

The thing with powerstation is that their equipment is so accurate that even resting your hand on the tyre changes the readings!!

It's funny to watch them get everything perfect, then tighten a bolt slightly and watch the readings change! They then undo them and re-set them.

Most places just get it there abouts and say "we set the camber to 1 degree". If you actually measured it you would probably be stunned as to how innacurate it was.
