What is bump steer removal and why would I want it?

What is the effect of Prodrive's geometry setting over the standard?

If I want my bump steer removed, would Prodrive do it and would it affect warranty?

(After having the bump steer removed do they give it to you in a doggy-bag or does it go in the skip? )
