Keep the car exactly the way it is, why get that horrid looking carbon spoiler when you can fool people into thinking it's a bright red WRX
One thing I would do though is to put the S U B A R U letters back on the boot, it's always amazed me why JDM cars don't have this

Great looking car, enjoy it.

Must be something wrong with my browser, I don't see any pictures of it doing large donuts in the sand.

Not sure I buy into the idea of 50k motors not knowing what this car is given a) it's bright red, b) it's got 'uge gold wheels, c) it's got that Basking shark style air scoop! - all trademarks of the Impreza :-)

Good reason to go for the specC 17" instead of specC Limited (unless you are dead keen on red) - you get the BBS wheels and not the standard (and heavier) STi wheels.

I just figured out why the Limited gets black/grey seats instead of black/blue - blue seats with red bodywork would clash horribly! Aha! :-)

What about the lack of air con & elec windows in the Spec C, am I right in thinking that the Ltd has these as standard?

Most people just think its a WRX so they dont pay any attention to it. I like it that way.

Yes it has a/c and elec windows

What you need a/c for you've got that tarty roof flap! :-)

I take it the pipe'n'slippers Limited owners want aircon when they get in - then once the engine is up to temp and cabin temp is down, switch off the power sapping air con and switch to roof vent and give it some ho ho ho :-)

Personally I'll just sweat and take the reduction in weight. Aircon is for wimps :-)

Well with the specC you can get the best of both worlds... stripped out or fully loaded, and low key or in your face. Pretty cool car really. I find mine tiring in slow traffic - heavy steering that pulls everywhere and ungainly suspension at low speed - but I certainly didn't buy mine for comfort :-)

Just typical of the Subaru jap boys - bring out a car but then make 3 subtle varieties of it! :-)

Says the man who has just added weight to his car by fitting a large spoiler
I bet you would have missed the air-con last summer when it was 33c.

Have you tried one of those roof flaps? They don't half bring some air into the car when it's moving!

As for the weight - I've got the STi Genome tailpipe (all stainless steel affair from Japan) - this is 4kg lighter than the standard exhaust, so should offset the wing.

great car, and nice in red. imo the size of the bonnet scoop and the rear wing dont match, wing needs to be slightly higher or bigger. you can get risers for about £90 that add about 5" to the height of the standard wing.#

enjoy it whatever you do mate!

My specC isn't to be used in such situations, it's a play car not my day to day, hence aircon not a must, the roof vent is fine for me. Maybe if was my daily car I'd have gone for a Limited with aircon.

I agree, hence my comment about the 'balanced' looked of the car in my thread of the pics of my specC with big rear wing: http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=302589

I notice the Limited doesn't get the rear wash n wipe, just as the normal specC doesn't - thought they would have put this back in. Why leave that out if you're putting all the regular STi bits back on?!

Has it got rear speakers as per regular STi, or none like normal specC?

It had no speakers what so ever from the factory. The only STI bits they add are aircon and the power windows I think, and the LTD get the black seats.

No no no tot true, you get quite a few bits extra on the Limited:

- leather handbrake lever
- silver aluminium gear surround
- silver sports pedals
- silver door handles
- colour coded wing mirrors
- outside temp guage
- change up light on dash
- air con
- standard STi wheels (instead of magnesium BBS)
- passenger sun visor
- passenger roof handle

Pressume it has more sound proofing materials etc. as the weight difference between the specC and specC Limited is 30kg (90 vs 120 respectively).

Having looked at buying a Spec C or Spec C ltd before I ended up with my GL, sound proofing is non existant on both cars.

Other than the wheels. The majority of extrta 'sprung' weight, about 90% of it is the air-con kit IIRC.

Gorgeous cars both of them. I just wanted more toys.

Nathan..
