I've just finished bodging up a new conservatory and laying a new patio using concrete slabs and blocks. Now over a number of years both the slabs and blocks deteriate as the concrete dust gets washed out and moss starts to grow. ie look at you average block paving drive way which looks good for the 1st year but once its been down for a few years they start to look a bit shabby.

Therefore, has anyone in the world of scoobynet had any experience of sealing patio slabs and block paving to prevent this aging and also stop things like weed/moss growth. ie does it last and work ??

ie there are products like Resiblock 22 for this

The only way to stop weeds is to have layed that black material underneath the sand, B&Q does it.
As for sealing it mix some unibond into a bucket of water and give it a couple of coats every year.

What you need to do is poor water between the gaps of the slabs, making sure you spill as little as possible on the actual slabs. Ideally do this on a sunny day and wait for any water spilt on the slabs to dry. Mix dry sharp sand and cement in 3:1 ratio with no water then you can sweep this dry mix over the slabs pushing into all the gaps then run over with a length of hose thus smoothing off and giving a nice finish, this process also sucks the water you have poured in the gaps into the dry mixture and it sets hard but you dont get any mess on you nice new slabs. sweep off excess sand and hey presto!!!
