Just a quick question, should bathroom taps have identifiers on them to let people know what is hot and cold?

I've bought and fitted a set and neither the bath or basin taps have, I got in touch with the supplier and they seem to think they shouldn't, just seems odd that the top domed cover doesn't seem to fit correctly, whereas if there was a coloured ring there it would

I would've thought that they should have......Health and Safety and all that!

IIRC the hot tap should always be on the left.
A lot of new designs don't incorporate the colour coding etc -supposed to look "modern" :D

It's alright looking modern, but slightly confusing for my 4 year old. The monkey that plumbed my bathroom before I moved in had done it the wrong way around
