Wife has decided that she wants to decorate bathroom. Previous owners of house had put a sticky back border over a normal border, the sort that requires wallpaper paste. Have managed to remove sticky back border alright but other one has left paste on the wall. Wallpaper scraper of no assistance whatsoever, can anyone advise what the best thing is to remove it from wall, are there any products which should be used. We don't want to put another border up, just want smooth clean wall to paint.

are you saying you want the boarder off?
both off?

If so.. peel the face off of the boarder... soak the backing in with warm water and fairy liquid.. the fairy in the water allows the water to cling on better.
give it a good few soaks.. then scrape if off.. if not off on the first try.. re soak.... let the water do the work!
then.. when all is removed.. wash off the excess paste thats still on the wall with warm water anda clean sponge.
don't leave any paste on the wall if you are wantig to paint over it.. as it will react with the paint.. and look pants!
Trust me!
