Finally got round to fitting them and i just have one question.

On dipped beam the outer lamp is the HID one which i know is correct, but when you switch to main beam the outer lamp turns off and the inner one turns on.

Is this right? or should the hids stay on whislt the inner one is on?

What "Bulb" did you end up using in the outers?

My Morettes have H4's in the outers, so you'd need the Hi-Low kit for it to give the same output.
If you put a single "filament" lamp in place, you can still make them stay on when your mainbeams are on but you'll need to mod the wiring.

Cheers

Its the H4, kit was from Scoobysport.

How do you wire it up to stay on then?

I think the Scoobysport kit doesn't use the Hi-Low unit with main and dip.

If so, you need another relay, any 4/5 terminal on/off type will do, but I prefer the ones with a fuse integral.

On the relay, connect as follows:

Terminal 30, thicker wire, to battery +ve.

Terminal 87, thicker wire, to HID ballast feeds +ve's, (or via piggyback connectors to terminal 87 on Morrette relay).

Terminal 85, FROM headlight mainbeam wire, behind headlight, same one that feeds the trigger on the Morrette relay will do.(You can Piggyback to it).

Terminal 86: to a suitable earth.
