Just tried for a 3rd time to get a quote from Liverpool & Victoria. They wont give me a quote because they Dont have WRX STi Type R listed.

They do however have a WRX STi 2 Door. I didnt think they made a 2 door WRX STi without it being the type R.

Anyway, just wondered where else I could get a good quote. Tried various and Direct Line and Tesco are quite competitive but want to add mods and they dont like that!

Yes, I tried that but wanted to speak to someone about it. As soon as I tried speaking to someone they wouldnt have any of it. I explained the model that it tallied up with on the website and they still wouldnt give me a quote.

So yes thanks for the advice, but for some reason they wouldnt help.

if you quote the exact model as listed they should accept it, they did with me, but the first time i rang, as soon as i deviated of the conversation they would immediately try & get shut of me, stick to the exact words & you should be ok, i hope ;)

Funny that, my missus rang up on Tuesday and insured my soon to be accuired WRX RA, listed as a "4 door import WRX RA 1994cc"

They even quoted £200 less than I paid on my Terzo:D

... It was the 'Limited' bit they had a problem with <sigh>

i helped someone else out with this, you have to speak to the right people as i had the same problem, car not on list, they just spoke to underwriters and insured it as the nearest car, drop me a line if you get no joy, my sti9 jdm is not on the list eitehr but i got it insured
