I do know that the sweeper truck has been to em and they a waived all help from them cause if they get help they are out so i think they are still in with a chance of finishing just not gettin a podium

Also the german woman driving for VW may be disqaulified for changing her engine which is against the rules

On thursday they started overall third; less than 40 minutes behind even after being stuck on a dune for 25 minutes on Wednesday, but at about half way through the stage they suffered transfer box failure, which left them with rear wheel drive, and later no drive. They ended up being towed out by a Nissan teammate.
This dropped McRae about 3 hours and meant he was pushed back to eighth overall.

The service trucks were well behind so McRae rebuilt the transfer box himself that evening, before going and doing the service checks on the other two Nissan's as well..

On Friday all started well. McRae and Vatanen were together, but Mcrae's gearbox failed at roughly the same time that Vatanen's clutch gave out, so while they were both still running they were going very slowly for about 350 km, unfortunately putting them well out of the running, and in excess of 20 hours behind overall.

It's a shame because Colin and Tina had been driving an absolute blinder before that, third overall and leading Nissan.
Proof if it was needed that Colin is not past it............
