Anyone know best places for fully comp with highly mod motors...me MY02 has spoilers, turbo, intercooler upgrade, injectors, pump, soon to have 19" wheels and AP Racing brakes, water injection, etc...list goes on and on.

Elephant was decent on price before lots of mods...only insure 8 mods, but don't cover the items themselves (insure as return to std - not ideal).

For lots of mods, I would have thought the best bet is Liverpool-Victoria as they dont care about mods at all - just have to provide, receipt and/or photographic evidence. I asked them this morning when quoting for my policy and they guy said they do replace back to modded standard!

Nice one Jon...I'll check them out...I did try them last year but they didn't want to know...was under 30 (don't tell anyone!) then, but not now.

Did they charge extra for the mods? I've just had a quote which isn't too bad, but that's without any mods...can't list them with online application by the looks of it.

You dont even need to list the mods. They don't ask about mods and don't want to know. I'd also ring them as there's been at least one post on here of someone getting cheaprer when they rang up.

With things such as dealer leather interior and dealer colour coding being 'mods' these days, before you get to exhausts, filters etc, a policy like this is very good. There arent many Scoobs that are 'standard', or if they are, the owner isn't declaring everything!

AFAIK their policies also include business use and 180 days European as well as legal cover. I'm going to ring them soon to check if they include trackday use - because again, someone on here said that their policies do.

I'm going to get my policy through in the next few days or so. I'll read all the small print carefully to check what I've said is correct.

Cheers Jon...I've just sent them a letter with the list of mods...can't see it hurting if they do have a policy like you say. It's odd though, as most insurance firms that allow mods (even the basic stuff like option extras) want a list and current value. I'll let you know the reply...although I'm sure you'll already be insured by then.

Jon, did you get the policy okay? Was it fine for the mods?

I've had a few quotes...one really cheap job from Tesco, but that's without mods and I've heard they add loads once you list them.
