Anyone know of any insurance companies that will let me drive any car 3rd party on a fully comp policy. I am 21 and they are all saying minimum age for that is 25. I know Elephant used to do it but when i rang up just they said you need to be 25.

Bare in mind you don't have to be comprehensive to get this benefit.

I've been told this on 2 occasions in the past but when the policy came through from the insurance company it was on there so I could drive other cars. Sometimes the brokers don't know what they are on about. It's down to the individual companies as to whether you'll get this. Also, my girlfriend used to pay £15 for this to be added to her policy, when she was 21.

I'm 19 and can drive other cars on my Liverpool Victoria policy. And they were the cheapest (well, least expensive). :)

Everyone should really check with their own individual insurance companies in relation to this. I recently spoke (at length) with my insurers - Liverpool Victoria - who state that although I have thrid party cover, it should only be used in emergencies, or when there is a necessity to drive - it can't be used just to test drive or run errands in other cars.
