No heating for the second time this holiday! Think it is down to the heating circuit motorised valve being faulty.
Now as I can manually open this valve (it’s a spring return type) anyone know how can I get it to fire up the pump too? I don’t think that manually opening it up completes the ‘start the pump up guv (and then the boiler)’ circuit?
Happy New (but cold) Year!
D
PS if anyone can confirm the colour code legend of these valves it could be helpful for me if I have to bypass the valve microswitch. I think on the heating valve (of a 2 valve system) the wires work out as -
BROWN (Roomstat temp dependent ‘no load’ LIVE)
GRN/YELL (EARTH)
BLUE (NEUTRAL)
GREY (CONSTANT 240v LIVE)
ORANGE (switched 240v LIVE to pump)
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
