Dave, as far as I know the location is the same as last year (normal entrance to Epynt - Llywel just past Sennybridge). I was there for 9am last year which was the right time - could be different this year though!

I'll keep my eyes out for your cracking STi!!

Actually thats my post from BritishRally.co.uk just cut and pasted ;) but they are the times as per the road book.

No comments from anyone? I thought it was an excellent event and the route notes were brilliant the only two negatives were the thick fog (which the organisors can do nothing about) and the lack of results throughout the day.

Results were published in service but we only visited that twice and they weren't really meaningful, a card collection point on the route and results handed out at PC's would have been nice, but I guess I've been spoilt by the BTRDA.

Finished the event 14 o/a and 1st in class 3 and happy with that as a good start to the Welsh Clubman Championship for us.

Red Rice how did you get on as don't think I saw you all day, (saw your 306 at the start of SS8 so guess you finished?) getting to grips with the dirty stuff?

Thanks to anyone who marshalled this event.

Bit of a disaster for me :( The heater had not been fitted so the first 2 stages it misted up the screen , couldn't see a thing , and with that fog as well , the electric windows didnt work either so could wind them down to get a bit of ciculation , so was 23rd after 2 stages . They managed to get the windows down a bit which cleared that problem and was going ok then , but stage 6 had a big off which put us out of the rally , the cars going on the jig today , doh !

And it feels like I have been 12 rounds , no 14 round with Mike Tysons harder brother ! ouch ...

Crap start to the championship but as they say there's a long way to go yet , just put entries in for the Telford stages and the Wyedean , so we will try again :D

Bad luck Ian, seeing your 306 I thought you were still running but I guess you or your lads had gone for a watch.

Our in-car footage will be, apparently, used on the official video as the two nominated camera cars retired so every one will have a chance to see how foggy it really was.

Tim when are you out next, Sweet Lamb or Wyedean?

Colin Minton had a slight off and has made a mess of the Navvy's side but finished in 16th. and Phil Morgan had 2 off's before retiring his Scooby WRC

Phil Morgan/Martin Douglas went off on SS1, losing three minutes, then rolled on SS5 and retired at the following service.

Mad Mick Jones/Andy Morgan also rolled on SS1 but continued in fourth place after two stages. They lost power steering but still cleaned the bogey on Route 60 but then retired with gearbox failure.

Geraint Mills/Jonny Evans retired SS1, broken drive shaft.

Jon Ingram/Andy Marchbank retired SS1, off.

Tim Jones/Don James retired SS7, engine. They were clear leaders of Class 3 at that point.

Dennis Parry/Huw Lewis retired SS1, throttle cable.

thanks for asking - the shell was a gonna unfortunately - which was gutting as it was the best thing about the car.

Still TEG did me proud and the car is reshelled - even better than the last now.

I have never successfully worked out how to post the piccies but I will e.mail the before and after the rebirth if you like.

Actually the back bumper made it through on the Red Dragon - along with one door mirror. It would have been ungrateful to have bent it as I purchased it from Col after the Somerset when I went off backwards! Is there a trend appearring here?

Hum, so there was a warning about what would happen next then :D.
The surface on the Red Dragon did look a bit slippery with the on and off rain during SS2.

I spent five minutes in a water filled ditch getting Robin Bradbury out.

Oh yeah, I've got other fond memories from the Red Dragon.

Got locked in by the Forestry Commission when they decided to lock the speccy gate before all the spectators had left.

Got let out at midnight by the Fire Brigade :D.
