Mr October 22 December 2003, 20:30 Dave, as far as I know the location is the same as last year (normal entrance to Epynt - Llywel just past Sennybridge). I was there for 9am last year which was the right time - could be different this year though! I'll keep my eyes out for your cracking STi!! Dave Roberts. M J B 24 December 2003, 00:22 Try the forum on http://www.britishrally.com/ CiaraC 24 December 2003, 02:16 Mark are you coming down on the Saturday or the Sunday morning ? ProCo2020 24 December 2003, 19:22 Mark, come and say hello sometime? Ciara, no comment on the seeding LOL, see you sometime during the weekend. Mr Godney, happy birthday and nice to see you out on a proper surface again, no of that horrible tarmac stuff! M J B 25 December 2003, 00:47 Will come down Saturday if you know of anywhere to stay? I will give you a call. If i come down Saturday i'll come and say hello. :D Happy Christmas CiaraC 26 December 2003, 02:49 I have yet to ring and book our accommodation too so if there are any rooms left I will let you know Mark. Although I am having second thoughts about the accom details I have been given as Bry is staying there also and he seems to be on a mission to wind me up ;) (as usual) LOL. Bry, seeding ?? What on earth are you talking about ?? ;) And as for 'that horrible tarmac stuff', you have just not experienced the proper stuff yet .... ;) [Edited by CiaraC - 12/26/2003 1:50:38 AM] ProCo2020 26 December 2003, 20:06 CC I may have a double bed to myself so................ ;) I haven't a clue what you mean by winding you up, never dare do that. You may still see me in Ireland as Duncan keeps talking about it, unprompted by me :) Looking forward to starting a cracking 2004. CiaraC 26 December 2003, 20:08 I may have a double bed to myself so................ Mark, now there is an offer for you...... ;) You will have plenty of room for yourself then won't you Bryan :) As for winding me up, you seem to be trying your hardest anyway .... ;) Still have not contacted that B+B.... [Edited by CiaraC - 12/26/2003 7:11:02 PM] M J B 27 December 2003, 01:57 are you saying you have a double bed to yourself or is that quoting bryan? ;) lol im confused it must be the beer. CiaraC 27 December 2003, 04:22 Quoting Bryan, very funny Mark ..... LOL Olly 30 December 2003, 19:31 Crewing for Darren and Ant, car 20. We're the bored, hung over ones in the service area. Mr October 30 December 2003, 20:41 According to rallycodriver.co.uk, these are the stage times: SS1 Crychan 9.51 SS2 Cwm-Coed 10.06 SS3 Blaen Cwm 11.04 SS4 Twyn-y-Wern 11.51 SS5 Halfway 12.07 SS6 (SS3 repeated) 13.08 SS7 (SS4 repeated) 13.55 SS8 (SS5 repeated) 14.11 Finish 14.42 See you all there! ProCo2020 30 December 2003, 23:01 Actually thats my post from BritishRally.co.uk just cut and pasted ;) but they are the times as per the road book. ProCo2020 06 January 2004, 01:06 No comments from anyone? I thought it was an excellent event and the route notes were brilliant the only two negatives were the thick fog (which the organisors can do nothing about) and the lack of results throughout the day. Results were published in service but we only visited that twice and they weren't really meaningful, a card collection point on the route and results handed out at PC's would have been nice, but I guess I've been spoilt by the BTRDA. Finished the event 14 o/a and 1st in class 3 and happy with that as a good start to the Welsh Clubman Championship for us. Red Rice how did you get on as don't think I saw you all day, (saw your 306 at the start of SS8 so guess you finished?) getting to grips with the dirty stuff? Thanks to anyone who marshalled this event. Ian Godney 06 January 2004, 09:23 Bit of a disaster for me :( The heater had not been fitted so the first 2 stages it misted up the screen , couldn't see a thing , and with that fog as well , the electric windows didnt work either so could wind them down to get a bit of ciculation , so was 23rd after 2 stages . They managed to get the windows down a bit which cleared that problem and was going ok then , but stage 6 had a big off which put us out of the rally , the cars going on the jig today , doh ! And it feels like I have been 12 rounds , no 14 round with Mike Tysons harder brother ! ouch ... Crap start to the championship but as they say there's a long way to go yet , just put entries in for the Telford stages and the Wyedean , so we will try again :D [Edited by Ian Godney - 1/6/2004 9:35:33 AM] TimGreen 06 January 2004, 09:55 Ian sorry about your situation - you have my heartfelt! You werent alone in having bad luck. Any results posted anywhere yet on the net? ProCo2020 06 January 2004, 21:46 Overall results appear on the Britishrally.co.uk forum in the Red Kite thread, about page 3 I think. Bad luck Ian, seeing your 306 I thought you were still running but I guess you or your lads had gone for a watch. Our in-car footage will be, apparently, used on the official video as the two nominated camera cars retired so every one will have a chance to see how foggy it really was. Tim when are you out next, Sweet Lamb or Wyedean? Colin Minton had a slight off and has made a mess of the Navvy's side but finished in 16th. and Phil Morgan had 2 off's before retiring his Scooby WRC ProCo2020 06 January 2004, 21:59 Cut and pasted from Britishrally.co.uk forum Here is the full results listing courtesy of Amserwys Modur Cymru: Pos., Driver, Co. Geraint Mills/Jonny Evans retired SS1, broken drive shaft. Jon Ingram/Andy Marchbank retired SS1, off. Tim Jones/Don James retired SS7, engine. They were clear leaders of Class 3 at that point. They were 2nd 206 at that point but 32 secs behind Ieaun. Stuart Jones/Richard Edwards retired SS1, off. TimGreen 08 January 2004, 11:41 Hope to be out on the Sunseeker but Colin may tempt me out to Sweet Lamb if not. Seen Colin's damage on Simon CLarke's site - looks like a 'glance' to me men - you obviously backed off! Col - dont forget I still got your spare door! Cant remember which side but I will look. Still, looks like yours should polish out anyway?? nigelward 08 January 2004, 13:51 Tim, Are you going to be out in the Impreza? or was that unrepairable after last years Red Dragon. [Edited by nigelward - 1/8/2004 12:52:50 PM] TimGreen 09 January 2004, 11:10 Nigel thanks for asking - the shell was a gonna unfortunately - which was gutting as it was the best thing about the car. Still TEG did me proud and the car is reshelled - even better than the last now. I have never successfully worked out how to post the piccies but I will e.mail the before and after the rebirth if you like. Tim nigelward 09 January 2004, 14:06 Hi Tim, I'd be interested to see the transformation, saw the back of the car when it was being removed by recovery last year. TimGreen 12 January 2004, 17:33 Actually the back bumper made it through on the Red Dragon - along with one door mirror. It would have been ungrateful to have bent it as I purchased it from Col after the Somerset when I went off backwards! Is there a trend appearring here? nigelward 12 January 2004, 21:24 Hum, so there was a warning about what would happen next then :D. The surface on the Red Dragon did look a bit slippery with the on and off rain during SS2. I spent five minutes in a water filled ditch getting Robin Bradbury out. Got locked in by the Forestry Commission when they decided to lock the speccy gate before all the spectators had left. Got let out at midnight by the Fire Brigade :D. |
