No reason for you to take it personally, surely? It's hardly your fault it looks like a drop-top Vauxhall. ;)

But is it too long?

The 206 was always a nimble little thing - but how will this much much longer car cope with the twisty stuff?

I saw some footage of it testing round hairpins and it did'nt seem that impressive.

Happy New Year btw

But is it too long?
Lol! I was wondering how long it'd take before someone asked that!

The 206 was always a nimble little thing
The 206 was always a marginally unstable car that needed a hell of a lot of work done on the suspension and active transmission strategy to calm it down and make it easier to drive on the rougher events. It was also sufficiently small that packaging all the WRC car mechanical stuff inside it caused a headache for Peugeot's engineers. The 307 should, in theory, allow them to lower the centre of gravity, which will have its own handling benefits.

- but how will this much much longer car cope with the twisty stuff?
Let's put it this way, it's not as long as the Focus and Impreza, and they seemed to be doing alright last year. It's about the same length as the Zsara, and that seems to go okay in the twisties too. In other words, the length/wheelbase is not the crucial issue you're making it out to be. ;)

I saw some footage of it testing round hairpins and it did'nt seem that impressive.
You can't judge anything from how the car "looks" on isolated corners in testing. It could concievably be that the longer car does work out to be a fraction slower round hairpins than the 206. However, if its longer wheelbase gives it improved stability and predictability in the faster corners, overall, it will probably be quicker...

Proof of the pudding will start to show at Monte, although it'll probably take them the best part of the season to really optimise the package.

Didn't realise/know that it was shorter that the scooby.

Still all that you say makes sense.

It goes without saying that Pug know how to put a WRC car together, so we''l just have to wait and see as to how good it actually is.

(Really hope it gets pi55ed on by the Scoob :D :D :D :D :D :D )

He he he he.....

Just kidding.......
