Any one heard when the new R1 will be available in the UK.

I think the gixer 1000 boys are gonna take a back seat for a year or two. You are talking Yamaha aniversary so lets watch Rossi and Yam do the tricks hey..

I've got the 2003 model with 150bhp or so and its fooking scary quick so I cant imagine what another 30bhp on top of that is gonna do to it :eek:

Wont be a case of riding any longer, more like piloting as its gonna take off with that much power :D

MCN did a "claims" page of the new bikes. As i remember it..

R1 - 180bhp with Ram Air
10R - 181.5bhp with Ram Air
Blade only make 163 :eek:

Have to laugh at how mad its going. In 98 when the R1 came out Fast Bikes dyno'd it - turned out the engine only made 134bhp - less than the outgoing model(thundercat or something)... The R1 was at the time considered mental.

Now - the blades "down on power" at only 163bhp

Who can honestly tell me they can handle 180bhp+?

Still... im going for a blade... pretty sure it'll scare me to death...

Buy a 600 and you can take the piss out of them on track days!

I will be very very suprised if any of them make 180bhp even with ram air. How much power can they take before they start needing rebuilds every 2000 miles.

At least with 180 bhp we will be saving a lot of front tyre but spending it on washing powder for when we kak ourselfs on the back wheel going past the zookS

You dip inside the 1000's on the bends as 600's are more nimble.

Had a chat with my dealer on Saturday and he said that it was April/May time for both the R1 and the Blade. The R1 was something like £9350 and although no price had been announced for the Blade, they reckoned on about £8995.

The Blade looks miles better than the R1, which IMHO is just tacky and cheap looking. You only need to look at the 1980's inspired swinging arm bracing to see what I mean, and as for the headlights.......

The 10R is just ugly. Fullstop. :eek:

If I save enough pennies between now and April, I might be tempted onto a Blade, but then the Mille Factory is a much cooler proposition. All IMHO of course! ;) :D

lol @ 600s being more nimble.

the 1000's are now weighing at pretty much the same as the 600s.

Why does it look as though the red one has a different colour frame to the others ? its not the first time i have seen this does anybody know if this is how they will come out?

In France, the press announce : R1 172bhp with Ram Air Direct for 172kg and the ZX10-R 175bhp as far as 184bhp with Ram Air Direct for 171kg.

I have seen at the "Mondial du deux roues" in Paris and it's a beautiful machine for the 2004 years.

For the moment I have not test in press but it's not delay.

Suzuki go react soon I think.
