Just wondered if anyone had any advice or tips on fitting an STI5 rear spoiler to a Classic MY00

Many Thanks

Same here, simply unbolted the original and dropped the new one into the same holes.
I also put some silicon sealer around the holes to ensure it's completly water tight :)

I did a post on this some time ago, and FWIW, here goes again:

Remove old spoiler, two of the bolts are hidden under the rubber bump stops.
Clean boot surface.

Put spoiler in place, and adjust it until you are satisfied with positioning. View it from ALL angles. Take your time.
Mark position of spoiler onto boot lid with soft pencil, or felt tip.
Remove spoiler.

Place plenty of double sided sticky pads onto base of new spoiler, and carefully lower it into pre-marked place, press down firmly.
Get someone, preferably two someones, to hold it while you mark bolt holes for drilling in base of new spoiler, through existing bolt holes, 3 each side, unless they are already there?
Pull it off the sticky pads remove them and clean up.

Apply a continuous bead of "Cicaflex" or "Puriflex", available from car paint specialists etc, around the base of the spoiler.
Apply a ring of same around every hole in the car boot lid.
Put spoiler in place, and have the same two helpers hold it while you lift boot lid ,and bolt it into place. Work quickly, doing bolts on each side in turn until all are tightened. do NOT overtighten.

Now, using PLENTY of paper towel and white spirit, clean off any sealant that has oozed out. Finish with a wipe right round to leave a neat seal.
Once the sealant has dried/gone off, you can, apparently, take the bolts out if you so wish. It won't move!

Hope this is of help. The whole job is only half an hour:):
