As the title says, who wants to take over organising it and generally running it? Hopefully one of the veteran members as it were...

Money - :p ;)

Which is why I'm offering it up, as I hardly ever make the meets anymore or have time to handle the whinging about using the same pub each time! ;)

I've done my bit for the Surrey Meet (I took over when DrEvil went through his wilderness period!! ;)) We use to meet up in Sandown Park and then head down to the Fairmile (which we still go to now! :o)

Anyway as I don't have a Subaru anymore, I think I will be coming less and less to the meets! :o

I think someone with new ideas should take over and I will help them as much as I can! :)

Who is moaning about the pub??

Newlands corner and Fairmile has always been great. Food is great there and easy to park.

Anyone who is monaing - simple dont come! lol

Money, agree with that! When I used to run the woodman meet (on behalf of Kim, before anyone starts claming I'm nicking her meet :p :D :D) a few people complained about the place, I just got fed up and thought, feck it! if you don't like it, don't come, or shut up, or arrange a venue yourself. OK, so sorting out a pub aint hard, but finding somewhere that is willing to let us all come down is not easy, many places think we are boy racers and don't want the hassle.

Big thumbs up to Alex, and Andy too, for their hard work at running the Surrey meet, I used to have a lot of fun when I came along, and i do miss newlands corner on a cold wet sunday morning :D

Andy,

Did I meet you at Surrey back in the summer? How are you getting on with the car, mate? Silver wagon, isn't it? Any mods yet?

Andy Tang

Not me with the silver wagon I'm afraid!!

I did have a silver MY99 saloon, then a red mk2 Golf, then a MY00 dark blue saloon and now a black 306!

OK, so anyone else want to run with it?

Andy and I have been involved with it for over 3 years now
Time for a rest or rather moving on to something new...

Anyhow, I suspect a vote is order from the regular people - so who wants and who will vote for them?

People, I have recently moved to Kent/Surrey border from Bedfordshire and would like to fgo to a meet or two. Can you tell me where and when the meet is held? Also, does anyone know about the Pease Pottage meet on the first Sunday of the month and what happened to it at the beginning of November? I went there and the services were full of vintage cars.

Little Clanger - I have organised a meet for this Sunday at the Grasshopper Inn in Limpsfield we are meeting at 1pm.

I also went to the Pease pottage one and was too late the guy who posted it put the wrong time up.

Maybe see you Sunday

Charlie

Little Clanger,

The West Sussex Meet is the one that meets at Pease Pottage. They happen on the 1st Sunday of the month and organised by Dyney.

The Surrey Meet (Newlands Corner, near Guildford, then a pub in Cobham) are on the second Sunday of the month and currently organised by DrEvil.

The ScoobySnax Meet are not as regular, but held in a fantastic pub The Woodsman in Ide Hill.

You'll see these meets posted here regularly! :)

All, thanks for the prompt responses.

Charlie, will be at the Grasshopper on Sunday. Nearly fell off my chair when I saw where it was. I live about 15mins from there. Will be in 03STi (common as muck blue with gold wheels so I keep getting told (quite nasty that).

Hope to make all the others.

Thanks again chaps
