They say timing is everything and Danny's little pre event (practice run) incident certainly added some drama to the whole event.

Listy 22 November 2003, 14:17 Knowlesy..... what happened mate... One minute you were part of the Ton up Convoy next minute you dropped back and Well.....ermmm next it was felixstowe....Pmsl........
Rachel woke up on the run past ipswich and asked me why my speedo started with a 1 closely followed by a 3 and it wasn't 13...lol in the wet..... After a brief enforced back off, back to double figures, she nodded off again and the games continued...
Top run down with Supercue.... The 2 biggest kids on the A12 last night I fear...
Tiny were was you...... You should have put radio Norfolk back on in the car...... That would soon have had them all asleep...lol
Anyways.. great night all....Good Job well done for a good cause :)
Gidney&Knowlesy 22 November 2003, 14:27 Listy & Tiny LOL
Myself & one other got caught up in who's turbo was better; I missed Supercue turning off on to the A12....
PMSL I slowed down flashed the other car to advise that we turned off at the wrong junction, seeing this at a challenge the driver shot off & missed the turning back...
By that time I was 20 miles out my way though did find a lovely Carrera 2 to play with....
Cheers to Supercue for leading I was all the way there.......Listy that car certainly goes well......
Although on the A14?? that juggernaught seemed to want to take a foot & a half of our road......
Scooby Diva xx 22 November 2003, 15:56 Looked an absolutely blinding night,!!! shame i didnt finish work in time :(

Unfortunatly BBC TV didn't give me as much time as I'd hoped to thank everyone so here goes.....
Thank you to Brian, Rachel, Tubs and Bev for all the hard ground work and those who helped them namely Fidd, Flat Eric, Jamie, Jimmy etc.. etc..
Thanks to all those who helped with the various convoys.
Thanks to all who showed up for the dry run a few nights ago.
Thanks to Crown Garage for all their help not only on the night but rushing round to get my car repaired in time.
Thanks to VCF Motorparts, Autotest and Clive Atthowe's who each donated £50 and Veloce Motorcycles for thier £20.
Thanks to CIM Signs and Graphics for all the Pudsey stickers and the massive cheque.
Thanks to MadDad who had a whip round where he works at MIL Varco and gathered £160
Thanks to Macro's for letting us use their carpark.
Thanks to Asda Norwich for keeping the cafe open for us.
Thanks to all those new members that turned up. Its not always as hectic as that on our meets and events. We usually have more time to chat and welcome new members properly. I do hope you were made welcome.
And finally thanks to each and everyone one of you who turned up. Especially those who came such long distances to support our event and Children in Need.
The money raised will be payed into our account and then transfered over to Children in Need on Monday so that we have an official record of the donation.
I've probably missed loads of people out but for eveyone who helped out in what ever way, however small.... THANK YOU.
Can't wait for next year.
P.S. I'm now selling autographs in the Scoobycity shop :D

bodystyling 22 November 2003, 23:09 Great result on the collection lads. Nice to meet if only briefly some new faces. Got back to Margate around 1.30pm after detour in norfolk. But all for a good cause. See you soon on the Xmas pressy run. Tony
FLAT ERIC 23 November 2003, 01:34 I am amazed at how well we kept the rolling thunder convoy together.Despite a brief spat by one or two or five of you coming off the dual. You know who you were.:D
Next on everyones list to Santa has got to be a two way radio. Some wicked back chat going around helped pass the time on the slower stretches while we were playing Scooby catchup.:)
