Hope I have posted this is the right place.

Could anybody give me advice or comments on their experience with protecting the car for rough tarmac events or light gravel.

I have an aluminium sumpguard but am concerned about the diffs, etc. Is Kaylan sheeting the best way to go to protect the tank, under the wheels arches, etc? Is it worth putting in some horror flaps as well?

Any comments/help greatly appreciated. I am thinking that Kaylan is probably best due to the realative cheapness of the material compared to Titanium under trays!!!!!

Many thanks

We've just put alluminium guards on my mates STi6. The guards are for the rear diff and the fuel tank. We are now looking at fixing some kaylan to the underside of the floor pan to give it a little protection. Townend Garage do a full range.

As Mark says Townend do a range of underbody protection. You could also try Maxspeed who supplies them (let me know if you need their numbers), or for what its worth we fitted a complete set of underbody protection (floorpans and sills) to our old V6 and sourced it all from Possum Bourne Motorsport in New Zealand. Due to the exchange rate it was very good value for money and some of the best quality stuff I have seen. I was put onto them by a contact at Prodrive who rated them as good as the genuine stuff (if not better) and for half the price - and that included delivery !!!!!

Hope it helps.

Thank you for your help.

Nick. If you have that number for me that would be much appreciated. I will give them a call.

Cheers again.

Neil
