View Full Version : rally academys for the younger generation the chosen one 15 November 2003, 15:43 the above, very interesting idea, fords got a academy up and running up in wales, looks asthough ford's trying to breed more rally legends closer to home. hopefully should end up as a big success with young enthusiasts. The event will be run in the Midlands not Enstone. On the subject I think it's a great way of getting youngsters into rallying rather than racing but needs to reach a wider audience and the cost needs to be looked. Well you stand on the FF line and stop the clock as the car passes. Then you run 400m to the stop line (careful as you overtake the slowing car, they can be a bit unstable under braking). Then stand on the stop line and wait for the car to stop and fill in the time card. Oh and the leg it back to the FF line.... Two cars together could be tricky.
