can any one tell me why did one marshal at each junction have a yellow flag.whats it for. This flag caused one of the funiest moments on the rally , course car approuches corner someone inside calling out yellow flag , he repeats this several times and then utters oh f*** it when flag doesn't apppear.

The radio cars were carrying a yellow flag which, in the event of an incident requiring medical or intervention vehical assistance, would have been shown to competitors to warn them of trouble ahead, and to stay behind emergency vehicles if they catch up wih them.
The yellow flag is the recognised flag signal in all forms of motorsport used to signify an incident ahead that competitiors need to be made aware of.
