Having marshalled a stage 'unofficially' last year and enjoyed it immensely, i've been thinking about doing it properly.

Assuming someone is a complete newby to Marshalling how does one get into it? Do you need to marshall other events before doing the 'RAC', or can you do a training course and get 'signed off' by the MSA or whoever?

Any info much appreciated, I might look at doing what's necessary to Marshall next year.

Click on the 'Marshals' link above, and have a look at the 'preliminary information' document.

Basically, you need to do a rally marshals training day plus so many events a year. Visit www.msauk.org for further info, or www.rallymarshal.co.uk

Thanks Al.. :-)

Basically you need to do 3 events and be nominated to the register by a MSA recognised club then youre free to marshal the Rally GB. All other events will welcome you with open arms whether experienced or not as they dont require the MSA licence.

Suggest you join your local (active) motorclub and take it from there..
