Its official! colin has said this is the last wrc event ever for him,obviosly he will be doing other things but it looks now like he wont be back in 2005! its a sad day!

A true great driver, just think how special it would be for him to win this home rally to go out on . I'm sure he'll put that extra bit in (if thats possible) . Should make excellent spectating.

A very very sad day for the sport, a truely magnicent driver and one I have had the pleasure to shake by the hand after he gave me his autogaph in 1994, I will never forget Chester in 1995 when he lifted the world title not 6 feet from where I was standing, All the best Colin.

i can't see it being his last....... he will always do rally gb i think, just as a privateer.........

TBH I think Colin retired somewhere towards the end of the 2000 season, so this is no surprise at all.

As for whether he really means it about not looking for another drive, time will tell. Personally if this is it for him I think it'll probably be good for the sport in the long run, and good for other British drivers too.
