I'm sure he'll put that extra bit in (if thats possible) . Should make excellent spectating. Treacle Scoob99 04 November 2003, 16:56 A very very sad day for the sport, a truely magnicent driver and one I have had the pleasure to shake by the hand after he gave me his autogaph in 1994, I will never forget Chester in 1995 when he lifted the world title not 6 feet from where I was standing, All the best Colin. Cheers Colin carter x 04 November 2003, 17:20 CARNT BELEAVE IT WELL GUTTERED HOPE HE WINS ON SUNDAY TO GO OUT WITH A BANG Mk2_heaven 04 November 2003, 17:43 as long as he doesnt push too hard for a win or he might go out with a bang just the wron sort of bang Rubber side down colin! scoff 04 November 2003, 17:46 i can't see it being his last....... he will always do rally gb i think, just as a privateer......... greasemonkey 04 November 2003, 17:47 TBH I think Colin retired somewhere towards the end of the 2000 season, so this is no surprise at all. As for whether he really means it about not looking for another drive, time will tell. Personally if this is it for him I think it'll probably be good for the sport in the long run, and good for other British drivers too. carter x 04 November 2003, 17:50 SCOOB99 we were right in front of him (droped the top on my foot) can you remember the air horns as he drove up the ramp ????? |
