...Apart from Phil Mills and Michael Park of course. ;)

Great shame, although at least Subaru are still in with a chance of having number one next year. :)

Wouldn't Burnsy have taken the No. 1 with him to Subaru if he had won the Championship?

Maybe this is a reason for Peugeot to be less than keen for Richard to drive this weekend??? ;)

I think that being as Colin is out for next year, Richard is having second thoughts, plus as siad above, Peugeot dont really want to give the "number 1" to another team, but, would you do so in their shoes????

Doesn't bear thinking about does it?

He's been a bit off colour for the last couple of rallys though so maybe it's just a bug or viral thing.

Interesting article here (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2094-876866,00.html) that explains a few of the dangers and the importance of the correct "mindset".

valid point regards pug team
Not necessarily.

Wouldn't Burnsy have taken the No. 1 with him to Subaru if he had won the Championship?
This is exactly the reverse of the case in 2001, when Richard was in the position to win the championship in an Impreza, but looked likely to take the number one to Peugeot.

Subaru didn't try and "stop" Richard winning the rally then, so I don't think it especially likely that Peugeot would deliberately hinder his attempt to do so this year.

Don't forget Pug are still in a strong position regarding the constructor's championship, and would have wanted Burns' points for that...

a bit of news from one of the national rags (the sun)

according to them burns had his blackout while drivin his porsche down the M4, markko martin sittin next to him, steered him to hard shoulder, called ambulance and off burns went to newport hosp.
how much of this is true mind, is unknown, but they gave information of a serious crash whilst testing in scotland, 3 weeks ago and has been complaining of illness since then!

make wot u want of this, but maybe best to take it with a pinch of a good accompaniment to vinegar:P
