Anyone know what the exact diagnosis was?
Press says he fainted, but was it just a faint, or was it something more serious like a seizure?
Obvsiouly a seizure would ban him from holding a UK driving licence for minimum of 1 year (unless mitigating related circumstances in the immediate past like knock to head, brain swelling, etc).
Don't know how the FIA deals with seizures etc though in terms of driving restrictions?

Where I have just been reliably told he has been released from after more tests which included a scan.

Well, his team said his condition wasnt 'serious', but its common practice / protocol to keep someone in i s'pose... especially the case if they're about to put their body through all sorts of stresses / G-forces trying to keep a rally car at full hilt in-between the ditches...
But im sure the eceptics out there will have their own aternative theories as to why he might not be racing... be it health or political implications... hmmmmm... makes you wonder...

I am more wondering whether he was indeed badly ill or he/they decided to withdraw (he might just have had a flue) since the title was now very difficult to get, he clearly didn't quite like life at Peugeot and Loix needs practice before joining them next season ?

He was probably just knackered - he's had a lot on recently one way or another.
Lets just hope he's 110% before he gets behind the wheel of his new 2004 Impreza WRC in December!
Next season should be a good one!
... but in the meantime: "COME ON SOLBERG!!!"

i can't beleve any of this talk about him with drawing to give Loix practice........ Burns i would of expected a top 3 finish........Loix possibly 8th - 10th....... Peugeot could of still won the championship

If it was just fainting then why keep him in hospital for two days. That just doesnt happen when you faint.
Apparantly although he's out of the NHS hospital where he was taken by ambulance he is now in a private hospital in Cardiff.

I thinks its all to do with not having to push for the title again, afterall, his hearts not with Peugeot, never has been, now has it folks, so why not get a note from mummy and watch the fun on TV instead.
