6 members of Streetly Motor Club (.co.uk) will be at:
Rheola 1 & 2, post 28/28a (near the finish)
Resolfen 2, post TBA
Would'nt it be ironic if browny_bum turned up to marshal with a 4x4 club, and ended up on the tarmac of Margam Park - makes me chuckle.

rallyfan1977 04 November 2003, 17:14 Browny_Bum,
Since I'm marshalling some of those same stages, I'll try to give you the info that you are after.
Margam Forest (stage 12) is about 11 miles long, marshals sign on closes at 7am (sign on is at the start of the stage, I can probably get you the grid ref if you need it)
Margam Park (stage 13) is 8 miles long, as I understand it marshals sign on closes at 9am for this stage - anyone want to correct me on this - I don't have the paperwork for this stage to hand.
Margam (stage 18) is 19 miles long, and marshals sign on for this closes at 7am I believe.
If I've got my times wrong then I'm sure another forum member will correct me, I'm giving you the times from memory, as all my paperwork is at home.
Hope the above helps, will probably see you over the weekend. (I'll be the cold wet one!!!)
Mile Muncher 04 November 2003, 18:11 Browny_Bum,
Recieved SS13 and SS18 yesterday. Am on SS13 junction 2 and SS18 junction 10. Info says sign on between midnight and 09:00. Queried this with Stage Comd who advises optimum sign on time of 06:45. Am personally aiming for 06:30 but then am only coming from Porthcawl (Daddies yacht parked in the bay!). Gotta be sharp though as drive in is through SS12. Advised not to sign on at SS12 but follow directions through stage. SS13/SS18 distance given as 12.64 km (7.8543466 miles), sorry rallyfan1977, you just weren't close enough, smartie bonus goes to me!!
rallyfan1977 04 November 2003, 18:17 Mile Muncher - i worked those distances out in my head, don't I deserve at least a little respect for that ;-)
either way it's still going to be worth getting up early just to be able to drive the stages (slowly.... honest....)

rallyfan1977 04 November 2003, 19:07 RSS,
I'm marshalling the forest stage, and have been told that I can sign on from midnight onwards, and they want all marshals in place for when the speccy car parks open, which is 7am.
rally_al 04 November 2003, 20:26 I've got the SS12 instructions here:
Signing-on is open from 2100 Friday to 0900 Saturday
Official car parks open at 0700, "ideally marshals who are in spectator areas should be in place by this time"
