Did this a while ago for the Mark 1 engine

Did you also stick some foam down the sides as well ?

Theory is, that it directs more air thru the radiator, rather than over it.

Do you have a coolant temp problem then??

Better safe than sorry, and as the material cost me nothing, it wasn't a big outlay.
It also stops me dropping bolts etc. down the small gap ;)

Here are the problems: 20% of the fresh air that enters the engine bay manages to make its way AROUND the radiator instead of through it. On top of that, the hot air coming off of the engine makes its way in front of the radiator and heats it up. A Radiator Shroud covers the space on the top , so that more ambient air is forced through the radiator. The result is radiator temps that are up to 10 degrees (F) cooler!

I have the original ZeroSports "Cool Radiator" and don't forget that it also comes with 3 pieces of pre-cut foam that mount on top and 2 along the sides of the rad.
Fitting the shroud is easy, but to fit the foam, you have to unbolt the radiator and tilt is backwards and even then it is still difficult to get the foam nicely in place.
To make it really 100% nice, you would have to remove the radiator completely...
Most air escapes on top, but some also on the sides. Another benefit is that it makes your engine bay looks nicer....

Hence my question about the foam. I had the radiator out and put foam around it then
