No, your not bad, but from a sponser who's investing large quanties of "dollar"-its damm right waste of monie.
And if the sponser does not see the value in media coverge, whats the point of being a sponser.A commercial radio station should have the info right.Network Q got weeks of free advertizing, that must be 5 to 10grand easy for nowt!

Every man on the street calls it what they like.
If Cannon now started sponsering Williams F1,and they showed the adverts for HP-oohh I could wrestle an action man!

Those of us that still persist in calling Rally GB 'The RAC' are in very good company as the drivers quite often refer to it this way. If I'm remembering correctly Petter did same in last weeks Motor Sport News. (Have left it at work so can't be positive till tomorrow)

Though I agree tis bad of radio station to get it wrong when they are presumably advertising the event.

Yeh have noticed Burnsie calls it RAC quite a lot! Old habits die hard!

it is the RAC in the sense that the governing body is the RACMSA - so i suppose they can get away with it on that score!

I did not think that the RAC had any relationship with the MSA.

If you look on your NMR card, competition license, blue book or even the MSA website, where does it mention the RAC?

Anyway, I refer to it as the "RACk" or after a few beers might refer to the "Q"

Senior Marshal must come from the old school Trugga - we must be a lot younger :-)

It used to be the RACMSA until 5 or so years ago (maybe longer) when (As I understand it) the RAC recovery operations were sold as a commercial concern and therefore the MSA was split off.

I guess the RAC moniker comes from before the Lombard sponsorship even so that must be early 80s?
