Red face

Today at Goodwood my car was cutting out at 120mph (revs around 6000). It would then continue to go on to 135mph before the corner. It was a bit frightening at first as the straight is not really a straight there are a couple of kinks and it unsettled the car. It was just like a sharp stab on the breaks. This has only happened after a new Trust exhaust system has been fitted, the whole thing from down-pipe to back box. Has it confused the ECU or is limiter, that had been diabled, is somehow kicking in. confused...and worried,

Hi,

To me, this sounds like the you are experiencing overboost, probably caused by the increased breathing provided by your new exhaust... What model car is it?

Your wastegate solenoid could also have been contaminated, you can clean it by following the instructions
