At first I was a bit upset about Rally GB moving to September in 2004, but now with the "Roger Albert" running in November we will get the best of both - Rally GB in half-decent weather, plus a rally in the "old format" in the rain, sleet and snow (hopefully). Planning ahead to 2004 already!

No rain at the moment in Cardiff But had a bloody good soaking last night. Hope it chucks it down this week though as the dust at The Mutiny Rally was dreadfull you couldn't see a couple of yards in front when they'd gone past and seeing as the Pro's so to speak seem to come a lot closer apart you wouldn't see half of them .

I've been in the South Wales forests all weekend. Rained virtually all day today. Heavy rain, hail, thunder and lightening. I live and work in the SW forests and will keep you informed all week if I can. See you all on Friday night, car parking duties at M crychan.

Its still as damp as a nun thats a 10inch member out there.

Good Morning - it's Rally Week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heavy rain, hail, thunder and lightning last night. Not sure if it was that or the over-excitement about the rally that kept me awake - my wife's getting really peed off with me acting like a kid at Christmas!!

This morning is bright, very windy and 12C but with dark clouds looming again.

Still brezzy, but not as bad as last night.
Not much cloud now,faint red sky as sun sets....

Rain all through Sunday night until about 9 this morning. Dry and sunny all day today. The sky is clear and starry now.
Off out monitoring the recce in Crychan, Halfway, Brechfa and Trawscoed tomorrow. I will have a good look at the surface after and keep you posted.

Cycled a lot of the Resolfen stage on Sunday it was supprisingly in good nick after all the rain,Sticky in some parts, but not a lot of mud

Good day, no rain, mostly sunny. Damp drizzly mist coming down now. The surface of the roads is looking good, not too wet or dry. some more rain would be welcome tomorrow or Thursday (not good for setting up but good for road)

God, its SO BLOODY WARM now - do you think I could get away with a 'Crop Top' on Margam Forest stage. (Must check the thermostat on the central heating)

Dry, overcast, light winds, 13C this morning in Bridgend.

Everything seems to suggest a pretty dry and fine weekend.

However its at this point becoming overcast and brezzy( or is that the misses just walked in front of the window,eating beans on toast)

Looking from cardiff up the valleys it looks full of rain.

Sorry for the delay on reporting the conditions at the Peugeot test in Tyle!

On Saturday it was dry, and Burns was out and about (luckily he didn't pass out that day!) the road held up well, with minimal break-ups in the road. Obviously a line was cut into some cut into some corners but it was dry and firm (although the 206 was getting nicely sideways, even for Burns' "neat" technique!)

Sunday it pissed down in sporadic showers, and Gronholm was slinging the car all over the road. It was wet and greasy, and was just like the conditions we are all used to.

My predictions are that the rally will have a particularly high average speed this year again, as Michael Fish promised that it will be dry all weekend. (Unless he's made another cockup and we are set for a monsoon!)

Was out and about today in Cardiff, Swansea and Llandovery. Great sunny day no ran until about 9 tonight. Light drizzle now things are looking good for the weekend (until sunday a.m.). Detailed forcast ordered via email for thursday morning.

Been fine and dry all day but light rain started about half an hour ago. Still very mild, currently 12C.

No rain forecast for this weekend, we're gonna have a good one.

By the way, some people must think the rally has started early, been fireworks going off everywhere round here tonight :-)

Its true rally wether on this morrow. Very damp,low misty cloud, heavy moisture in the air and dark clouds that should produce some rain. teh only thing missing is I did not wake up in the forrest.
Still there is tomorrow.
Of to Cardiff Bay in 10 mins so when I come back,will let ya know for the people setting off late.
